Collectibles Corner is located on the second floor of the Chavanich Building which itself is located on Warehouse30 grounds. Warehouse30 just posted a BLOG about the building’s history as well as its striking art deco features: use of solid geometric shapes, symmetry of layout, dignified official looking appearance.
Photos highlight details of the iconic style: simplified architectural details such as the function and use of “eyebrows,” minimal use of color, textured walls, and made-to-order wrought iron decorations installed on and over the entrance, window openings and the balcony.
Over the years, architecture students from various schools have come to sketch or study the building and it was included on the Siamese Heritage Trust Study Trip “Multi-cultural Bangrak District” organized by Siam Society on February 8, 2020.
